Help in the app

Open Help in Majal for short guides and answers on everything it does: getting started, your study plan and grades, notes and notebooks, flashcards, the focus timer and your streak, exams, Community, AI with ChatGPT or Claude, sync, and your data. You can search them.

Say which device you use (iPhone, iPad or Mac) and what happened. Please never send a password, a sign-in code or your sync recovery key: we will never ask for them.

Plans and payments

• Nothing to buy. Majal is free, and nothing is sold inside it. If a plan is offered later, the terms say how it works and how to cancel.
• AI. The AI buttons open your own ChatGPT or Claude, so anything you pay for there is between you and OpenAI or Anthropic.

Your data

• A new phone, tablet or Mac. On the device you have, turn on Settings → Sync with your other devices and keep the recovery key it shows. On the new one, sign in with the same email, then type the recovery key (or a code from Add a device, on a device that already syncs).
• A lost recovery key. While one of your devices still syncs, make a new key there: Settings → Sync with your other devices → More.
• A copy of everything, or deleting it. Settings → Your data → Export everything, or Delete everything, which also deletes your sync account with its online copy.

The privacy policy says what Majal keeps, what it sends and when.

Staying safe in Community

Everyone in Community accepts its rules, and there’s no tolerance for abuse, hate or sexual content. Reports are looked at within a day. Hate, harassment and personal information come first.

• Report a post or reply from its More actions menu (the three dots), then choose what’s wrong. Shared materials and sections have Report too. When three people report the same post, it’s hidden until a moderator looks.
• Block someone from the same menu on their post or reply, and you won’t see their posts any more. The moderators learn that someone blocked them, never who. To undo it: Community options → Blocked people → Unblock.
• Leave whenever you like: Settings & backup → Community → Delete my account deletes your community account and the text of everything you posted.
