Terms of use

Last updated 20 October 2026.

Majal is licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). This page adds what is particular to Majal: its plans, how they renew and how to cancel them, and the rules of its community.

What’s free

Everything in Majal is free today, and nothing is sold inside it. Your planner, notes, timer and flashcards will always work, with or without a plan.

Plans, when they’re offered

Majal may later offer Majal, an optional yearly plan, and Majal AI as an add-on. They would be sold by the App Store as auto-renewable subscriptions, under the terms on this page, with no free trial. Each plan’s price, in your own currency, is shown in the app and in the App Store before you subscribe.

Payment and renewal

Cancelling and changing plans

You can turn off renewal whenever you like. The plan then stays until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and isn’t charged again. To avoid the next charge, turn it off at least 24 hours before the period ends:

Apple explains each step in Cancel a subscription from Apple.

Refunds

The App Store takes the payments, so Apple handles refunds, under its own terms: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com, or see Apple’s guide to refunds.

If you’re under 18

Majal is for students aged 15 and over. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian may need to approve the purchase.

AI in Majal

Majal’s AI buttons open ChatGPT or Claude, which OpenAI and Anthropic run under your own account with them and their own terms. Their answers come from an AI and can be wrong, so check them against your course materials. Majal AI, Majal’s own, is planned as a later add-on; its terms will be on this page before it’s offered. What Majal itself keeps and sends is in the privacy policy.

Community rules

Everyone who joins Community accepts these rules:

  1. Be kind. Disagree with ideas, not people.
  2. Respect every religion, culture and nationality.
  3. No rumours, insults, or anyone’s personal information.
  4. Keep it honest: no exam questions, and no answers to graded work.
  5. No tolerance for abuse, hate or sexual content: it’s removed, and accounts that post it are suspended.
  6. Report what breaks these rules. Every report is looked at within a day.

These rules follow UAE law, including the laws on cybercrime and on personal data. What breaks them is removed, and accounts that break them can be suspended. The support page says how to report and block.

Changes

If these terms change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top says when.
